    Anne Vierstraete

    Since August 2013, Anne Vierstraete has held the position of Managing Director of Art Brussels, the most established contemporary art fair in the Benelux, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018. Alongside this role, she is also a member of the Board of Directors of Mercatorfonds, the renowned publisher of art books.

    Anne acquired a wide range of professional experience in her eighteen years as Head of Marketing & Communication at Bank Degroof Petercam and eight years as the director of the Erasmus Fund for medical research, established as non-profit organisation for fundraising on behalf of the academic hospital of the Free University of Brussels. For several years, Anne was a member of the Board of Directors of WWF-Belgium, and since 2010 has been engaged in a variety of freelance consultancies.

    Anne’s professional path led her to experience the world of sponsorship and fundraising from both sides; on the one hand partnering with events and allocating budgets to selected projects, and on the other hand, convincing partners to commit to a project or event at which she is at the helm.

    Art Brussels is one of the main sponsors of the Brussels Gallery Weekend, and companies partnering with Art Brussels include Belfius, as main partner, Ruinart, Stibbe, D’Ieteren Auto, Duvel, Mobull, Moleskine, Van Den Weghe, etc as well as many institutional and media partners.

Our panel of judges span all these worlds and are united by a belief that sponsorship success can be measured, and that creative activation deserves to be highlighted. The Belgian Sponsorship Awards are a tribute to the talents of those working in Belgian sponsorship and are intended to inspire future generations with great examples of sponsorship best practice.
