Edel leads sponsorship across the organisation, which includes retail brand Electric Ireland where sponsorship has been critical in building a compelling and differentiated brand in the highly commoditised Irish energy supply market. She is responsible for strategic direction, acquisition, negotiation and activation across a diverse sponsorship portfolio.

Cathrine has extensive experience within brand and strategic communication, and has previously held leadership positions within advertising, television broadcasting and film production.
Daniel Mathieson - BarclayCard
Head of Sponsorship - Dan started in the industry in 1996 where he joined Advantage International (Octagon) working primarily with MasterCard on their Euro and World Cup programmes. In his current role Daniel was challenged with introducing sponsorship back into Barclaycard's marketing plans. After some successful first years which included the title sponsorship of the first ever World Freerunning Championships, he was able to build and cement into the business a sponsorship strategy focused very much on payments and customer benefits within music and entertainment. This has led to partnerships including The Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham, The Mercury Prize, and Wembley Arena. Barclaycard Entertainment is now firmly established with key partnerships including AEG’s Barclaycard presents British Summer Time in Hyde Park, Live Nation and also extends to The Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg and The Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Executive Vice President, AEG Global Partnerships - Paul Samuels joined AEG Europe in 2007 and is responsible for overseeing all sponsorship sales, partnership activation & premium seating across all AEG assets internationally, outside of the US. In his current role at AEG, he oversees a team of 100 people across Europe, China, South America, and Australia, negotiating partnerships for AEG’s assets including sports teams, venues and festivals and works with some of the world’s largest brands including O2, Sky, Barclaycard, American Express, MBNA, Coca Cola, Heineken, Accor Hotels and AB InBev.

Axel Lintermans - Mastercard
Vice President - Head of Sponsorships Europe - Axel is a highly experienced sponsorship executive looking after Mastercard’s diverse range of sports and entertainment sponsorships. After having held various positions in advertising agencies such as Young & Rubicam, McCann and Havas, he switched from advertising to sponsorships in 2006 and started at Octagon. In 2010 he joined Mastercard Europe and manages properties like UEFA Champions League, Roland Garros, Rugby World Cup, Disneyland Paris and Festival de Cannes.

Commercial Director - Having previously spent 10 years as a strategist at Accenture, Nick was part of the team that set up Vitality (formerly PruHealth) in the UK and sits on the UK executive Team. He has responsibility for the Vitality Programme and has a wealth of experience in acquiring and activating brand sponsorship assets across the world of sports including Vitality's Ambassadors, a multi-sport campaign including Premiership Football, Rugby (England, Wales and Scotland RFU's), Running (the Vitality Run Series - a collection of iconic half marathons and the British 10k) and The Vitality Hockey Women’s World Cup,one of several sponsorships demonstrating the focus that Vitality also places on women in sport.

Head of International Sponsoring - Vincent-Baptiste began his career in 2002 at Wilson Tennis, where has worked in the Product Marketing department. In 2005, he joined Adidas as Head of the Brand Strategy and Communications for team sports, then as Head of Trade Marketing for the Reebok brand. He was appointed Head of Marketing at L'Olympique Lyonnais in 2011 and joined the executive Committee conducting the digital transformation of the club, new stadium project and the related new client experience. Since 2015, Vincent-Baptiste is Head of International Marketing, Business Leader Tennis and member of the executive Committee at Babolat Tennis. As Head of Sponsoring Tennis at BNP Paribas, his mission is to strengthen the group’s commitment in the development and innovation in the tennis world
